If you need help!
If you need medical assistance during your vacation, don't worry, there is a doctor on the island.
All emergency services are in Grohote, so you can find a dentist and doctor there, as well as a police station and fire brigade. The pharmacy is also in Grohote. Note, however, that it is only open in the mornings.
In case of an emergency or if you need immediate assistance of any kind – medical or police assistance, fire brigade, mountain rescue services – you can call the free number 112 from anywhere in Croatia (the calls can be made from landlines, mobile phones or payphones) at any time of the day or night .
Urgent Assistance
If the situation requires further urgent assistance or hospitalization that cannot be provided on the island, a speedboat or helicopter will be sent for the patient and taken to the nearest hospitals in Split.
Foreign citizens / tourists from countries that have signed the Health Agreement do not have to pay for medical care in Croatia, while patients from countries that have not signed this agreement have to pay for medical care.
