Top Beaches On The Island

About Šolta

Šolta has many beautiful, intact, hidden bays and coves on the north and south sides of the island. It would be a wonderful experience to rent a small boat and explore all. However, if you don't have that much time, you can choose some of them from the list below !

Šešula Bay

Šešula Bay on the south side of the island is in close proximity to Maslinica. It is sheltered from both Jugo and Bura winds, making it perfect for boaters. You can also get there by car, bike or on foot.

Zaglav Bay

Zaglav Bay, also called Vela Luka, has a small pebbly beach with few stone houses that give it a special character. You can also reach it on foot via a village path from Grohote.

Tatinja Bay

Tatinja Bay has several small pebbly beaches and is a good place for cliff diving. You can reach it by bike and on foot from the village of Grohote.

Veli Dolac beach

In Rogač, the main ferry port, you will find two beautiful beaches just a 10-15 minute walk from the port. If you are visiting Šolta for a day this might be perfect for you as you don’t have to worry about the next ferry. There is even a beach bar on Veli Dolac beach.

Nečujam village

The village of Nečujam is a real holiday resort with several pebble beaches. There are even a few small coves, and one of them, the cove of Piškera, offers medicinal mud baths.

Livka and Stračinska Bay

Livka Bay is the closest to the island of Brac and can be reached from Gornje Selo via a macadam road. Another bay that can be reached on foot or by bike from Gornje Selo is Stračinska Bay, a beautiful turquoise bay with three small pebble beaches.

On the main beach in Maslinica village there is a beach bar and other amenities. You can also rent a kayak and use it to explore nearby bays. The island's only sandy beach is nearby, so you can visit it too. It is located in Šipkova Bay and can also be reached on foot or by car.
